Joe has performed alongside luminaries such as Dave Brubeck, Christian McBride, Terence Blanchard, Ron Carter, Roy Hargrove, John Clayton, Jimmy Heath, Charlie Haden, Herbie, Hancock, Charles Lloyd, Wayne Shorter and Geri Allen.
After the completion of Thelonious Monk Institute in 2007, Sanders moved to New York City, where he eventually emerged as an integral part of the thriving New York jazz scene. In 2017, Sanders travels regularly with his ensemble, "Joe Sanders' Infinity", and as a sideman with Kendrick Scott Oracle, Gerald Clayton Trio and Ben Wendel Quartet. In September 2017, Joe released his second album as leader, ‘Humanity'.
Joe travels more than 100,000 miles performing in 18 countries every year.
