Alcides - Sax

...Alcides studied music from a very early age. From classical training in piano, flute and singing, Alcides moved on to a saxophone degree at the prestigious Conservatorio Nacional Superior de Música, Argentina.

After school he joined some significant Argentinean bands including:
La Nube (contributing to 2 CD releases)
Arsenico (3 CDs & regular radio/tv appearances)
Mr Renfield (2 CDs & tour of Latin America)

In 1996 Alcides broke away to pursue his solo career, improvising on sax with major DJs across the world. To date, he has played worldwide at thousands of venues, clubs, festivals, private and corporate events and weddings.

Alcides is also a significant player on the Ibiza scene, having for years had residencies at Starinxa, KM5, Blue Marlin, Bay Bar, Eden, Manumission, Casa Colonial and Sunset Ashram. He has frequently played nights, including opening parties, at: Space, Amnesia, Es Paradis, Elefant (featured on the Elefant album, 2007), Fasting, Atzaro, Guarana, Pereira, Sa Capella, Savannah Sunset Club, Atzaro.

Elsewhere, Alcides can be found making waves across the private party scene or at headline ibiza events like the 2 Diamond Party 2007 with Deep Olective, Ibiza’s International Film Festival, 2007 and the 2006, 2007 and 2009 DJ Awards (el Hotel, Pacha).

Now based full time in Ibiza, Alcides is working with Guru Josh on his next single/video release ‘ETERNITY’ featuring Kym Lazelle.
